In an astonishing response to Johnny Hopper’s question about internet rumours that Chase Sexton may not ride outdoors, Kawasaki team manager, Dan Fahie, refused to confirm or deny the rumours!
Hopper asked: “There’s been some chatter on the Internet about Chase possibly not racing the Nationals, can you confirm or deny?” The answer from Dan was simply, “No”.
Who knows what that means but there have also been rumours Sexton may prefer to get out of his three year deal with Kawasaki at the end of year one, in an eerily similar situation to what Jorge Prado had last year!
Fahie admitted to Lewis Phillips he didn’t see the Supercross season turning out this badly in the run-up to A1 saying: “I didn’t see any signs of that (difficulties), it’s gone that way but I didn’t see any signs of it early, no.”
Lewis them asked if they have found the biggest problem with the bike, but it doesn’t appear they have with Dan saying: “I don’t think so, because if I knew the answer we wouldn’t be talking along these lines of questions. It’s probably a little bit of everything. We made some progress two weeks ago, we made some progress again this week and if we can keep that path going we will be okay.”
