Joel Rizzi searching for another ride as his time with JM Honda comes to an end

Joel Rizzi started the season with the Riley Yamaha team but with the team having an uncertain future in the sport, it had left the young Brit without a ride.

The JM Honda outfit had injuries to Camden Mc Lellan and Delvintor Alfarizi so decided to snap up Rizzi which saw him race three rounds of the MX2 World Championship with the team. However, with Mc Lellan set to return to racing in France for round seven next weekend, Rizzi’s time with the team has come to an end.

At the moment, Rizzi’s future is unclear but he’ll be hoping to secure another fill in ride for the rest of the season to race the MX2 World Championship so he can continue to learn from the best 250cc riders in the world. Due to circumstances outside his control he’s looking for his third team this year.

“My fill in ride with JM Honda Racing has come to a end as their rider has returned, and would like to give them a massive thanks for the opportunity shame it couldn’t have gone better. At the moment I won’t be lining up but hopefully back behind the gate very soon and if anyone is willing to help privately would be greatly appreciated”, Rizzi stated on social media.
