Guillem Farres signs with Raths KTM – new challenge

Young Spaniard, Guillem Farres spent the first part of the season with the F4E GasGas team but has a new challenge for the rest of the season after agreeing a deal with the Raths Motorsport KTM team.

The plan for Farres will be to race the ADAC MX Masters for the team which starts on the 21st and 22nd of May – that will be his first race for his new team.

The good news for Farres as he will step up and race the MX2 World Championship – his first GP with the team is expected to be at France in Ernee which takes place during the first weekend of June. He will then contest the rest of the MX2 World Championship rounds that take place in Europe.

If Sydow comes back to the team and doesn’t stay with Factory Husqvarna for the rest of the season then the Raths KTM team will run two MX2 GP riders.

“Guillem’s manager was in contact with us if we had a place for him. With Sydow at the moment with Factory Husqvarna it meant we did have a spot for him.  The deal come fast together. He has a lot of talent and he is very professional. He will not be a fill in rider as he will stay with us for the rest of the season”, Niklas Raths told GateDrop.com.
