Greutmann and Reichel on signing with Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna for 2024

The Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna team have confirmed they will go bigger for the 2024 season. The team have focused on the ADAC MX Masters in the past but will race all over Europe next year contesting the EMX250 series.

The team will run a three rider line up in the EMX250 series so we caught up with Nico Greutmann and Lyonel Reichel to get their thoughts on the move for the 2024 season.

Nico Greutmann: I was in a situation this season when I head no team and Bauerschmidt gave me the opportunity to finish the season under the awning. I think he liked me a little bit (laughs) so he gave me the contract for 2024. I feel really good with the team, a Swiss team manager and a Swiss teammate feels like home even if I’m 800km away from home. I feel really comfortable in the new team so I’m pretty stoked to head into the winter prep to show in the 2024 season what I’m capable of with some Swiss guys around me. I don’t want to talk too much about specific expectations but for all who knows me know that I want to have that interview with Lisa Leyland at the end of a weekend. I want to thank my Family and the Swiss Mountain Hotel Group as well as Andrea Stumpf for the year long trust in me. We are coming in Cat Style!

Lyonel Reichel: The second half of the season was really good for me and exactly the way I imagined it. I was really fortunate that I did get noticed by the team so we talked a lot. In the end it is an amazing opportunity and I had to take this amazing chance to sign the contract for 2024. At the moment I am really looking forward to working hard and being disciplined with all the amazing people around me. I appreciate all the hard work they are putting in. After the good end of the season with some good results I have quite high confidence in myself. I believe in my skills and now what I am able to do. I have even more confidence knowing I have a really good team around me who is taking good care of me. Cant wait! My expectations are obviously to have a good winter prep and staying Injury free is also a big big part of it. We are taking it step by step to see where we are at.  I really want to thank my dad, family and really everyone who brought me this far. So many amazing people I have worked with, I am so thankful for all of you. Thanks also to the team for giving me such an amazing opportunity.

The riders were selected on the basis of sympathy and performance. The preparations for 2024 are underway and with the necessary luck we are heading for a successful season. Many thanks to the team management and to the riders, the team spirit polarizes and the cooperation is incredibly enjoyable.
