Devin Simonson to race the MX2 World Championship

Devin Simonson might have just finished his AMA Supercross season, but he will now be heading to race the MX2 World Championship.

The American who raced the AMA Supercross series for the Partzilla PRMX Racing Team and finished ninth at the final round of the AMA 450SX class will be flying to Italy this week. The SM-Action KTM team have decided to snap up the young American now the AMA Supercross season has finished.

Simonson will be back on a 250cc machine and the plan is to race the rest of the MX2 World Championship starting from Latvia.

After Jack Chambers signed with the DRT Kawasaki outfit, it’ll be nice to see another American race the MX2 World Championship.

“Yeah, we can break the news. We will be going to race the MXGP’s in the MX2 class for SM-Action KTM. There’s France and then a two week break, I think Kegums (in Latvia) will be the first one for me”, Simonson told Steve Matthes.
