The biggest wow moment of the GP might have been Kay de Wolf, MX2 world championship leader, leaning over to try and push a backmarker out of the way and onto a different trajectory to avoid a crash that could potentially have cost De Wolf a world title if it resulted in injury.
Somehow De Wolf had the calmness and presence of mind in a crisis while in mid-air, to reach out to the lapped riders and try and nudge him off course – thankfully neither rider went down but it was close to disaster!
Then Paul Malin shared the fact he had a similar incident involving Mark Eastwood in the British championship! Pro riders are a different level of composure.
