With Nancy van der Ven recently announcing that she has made the tough decision to retire from the sport, the Ceres71 Yamaha team ran by Alessio ‘Chicco’ Chiodi, have been on the look out for a replacement.
Young Dutch talent, Danee Gelissen who is only 17 years old, made a big improvement in the WMX scene this year in what was her break out year. She had a strong season ending up eleventh in the championship which this year was deep full of talent.
The Ceres71 Yamaha team have decided to sign her up for the 2024 season and now she has a strong team behind her, Gelissen will hope to improve even more.
