Johnny Hopper spoke to Cooper Webb about his plans for 2027 with Webb confirming 2026 will be his last year of Pro Motocross – and he isn’t guaranteed to stay with Star Yamaha for 2027!
Webb said: “I’m hoping to stay where I’m at, but it’s… we have got some young kids coming up with a lot of potential as we know, and there might not be room. So that’s the thing we’re still working for right now, and I’m hopeful that we can get through it. But yeah, at the end of the day, it is a contract year for me, and I have got to look out what’s best for Cooper Webb sometimes”.
“I think this will for sure be my last year doing Pro Motocross. That’ll be factual, you know, that’s it for me and with Motocross. So I’d love to be involved with a Supercross-only contract and another potential series. So we have some talks right now going between a few series, but I think you’ll definitely see me at least at some World Supercross rounds, if not all of them.”
