Tim Edberg has landed a role of trainer at the FF Triumph Racing team for the 2025 season. The Swede who has experience racing EMX and World Championship events in the past has actually taken up a training role the past few years.

This year, when the JM Honda team approached him as a fill in rider to contest the JM Honda team he couldn’t refuse and we got to see him back in the paddock to contest a few GP’s before an injury ended his season.

For 2025, Edberg will work with the junior riders under the FF Triumph awning and try to help them develop and learn.

When the time is right, Edberg also has plans to ride again and maybe do some Swedish championship races but it is unlikely we’ll see him back racing MXGP again.

“We have made a deal where I take care of the training for the FF Triumph Racing junior team. It’s not a big change for me as I have had the training role for the last couple of years as well as riding a bit. It’s nice with a change, I have given my all riding for a long time and this year again with JM Honda”, Edberg told GateDrop.com.

“It was an opportunity I couldn’t resist and I’m happy I took it even though the outcome. After my injury’s in the Spanish GP I had some hard weeks to get back to normal but now it’s all good. I haven’t had the urge to get back riding and I find it fun to be around motocross and support some good riders and families with my knowledge. It’s a long journey to get where I got and I have a lot to teach and I’m happy to do so. Let’s see what happens I’m pretty sure I will be doing some riding as well together with my riders but I don’t plan on making a comeback to the GP”, Edberg concluded.

The FF Triumph Racing team have already confirmed they’ll be racing the Swedish MX1 Championship next year with Alvin Ostlund and Danne Karlsson on-board the new machine.
