Young German talent, Simon Längenfelder may be staying in the same class for the 2025 season as the focus is on the MX2 World Championship but he has announced he has a new number.
We have got use to Längenfelder having the #516 number but for 2025 he has made the change to #27 which is the day of his birthday.
The De Carli Racing team will keep the German as they chase an MX2 world title with him under the awning but they’ve made the switch from GasGas to KTM.
“After being five years on a GasGas, I am excited to start this new chapter on the orange bike but as you can see, this isn’t the only change. Also my number has changed to 27 because my birthday is on the 27th of March. I have made a big change for next year, the bike and number. But I am excited and super happy to get this winter preparation underway, I can’t wait to go to the races already”, Längenfelder stated on social media.
