Antonio Cairoli continues to impress into his 40s by going 4-4 at Keiheuvel against some of rhe the top MX2 Grand Prix riders on the new MX2 Ducati! Cairoli hadn’t ridden a 250 machine for three years prior and, ironically, it was at the same venue when he was KTM team manager, that saw him beat his own riders, Everts and Adamo!
Everts made sure he wasn’t beaten by Cairoli this year with the Belgian taking second overall behind Sacha Coenen but Cairoli was fourth, splitting the Reisulis brothers with Janis taking third and Karlis, who was on the podium in Loket, fifth overall, showing just how fast Cairoli still is on the 250 machine.
Cairoli said: “One day of riding on it back on the 250 after 3 years and on the toughest sand track you can wish for that’s what we had on the menu for today! The Desmo 250 test was definitely worth it! Still some work to do but I had so much fun 4-4 on the day.”
