Antonio Cairoli gave his view on the reasons behind Tim Gajser’s crash that left him with a dislocated shoulder and said the track in Switzerland was not up to standard for modern bikes. Gajser hit a mound of dirt on the edge of the track that was incredibly placed inside the track markers!
Cairoli said on Tim’s Instagram page: “Those kind of tracks were good for the bikes 30 years ago…Tracks definitely need to step it up with safety and prep between practice and races. But we already said this plenty of times. Get well soon Tim!! Hope your injury is not too bad.”

And Cairoli wasn’t the only one not hapoy with the track with Jeffrey Herlings saying: “what a horrible track.”
