Cairoli considering racing MXGP opener at Matterley Basin?
Antonio Cairoli only announced his MXGP retirement last year but he’s hinted on social media that he might consider racing the opening round of the 2022 season at Matterley Basin.
Factory KTM currently have an injured Jeffrey Herlings who won’t race the opening round meaning at the moment they don’t have an MXGP rider to start the season. From KTM’s point of view, Cairoli would be the perfect fill in rider as there’s no doubt he’d still run at the front of MXGP.
However, is Cairoli really considering racing or is his post all just a bit of harmless fun? To be continued…
