Brian Hsu to race last rounds of MX2 before turning his attention to AMA Supercross!

There’s no doubting Brian Hsu’s talent as he has that in abundance but the past few years he has prioritized Supercross which means we haven’t seen him contest many Motocross races. There was a bit of a surprise to see his name on the entry list for the MX2 World Championship taking place at Arco this weekend but it turns out he’ll race the last five rounds of the series taking place in Italy. 

“As they decided to postpone the SX races, with my new sponsors we decided to do some MX racing. My new sponsors give me the possibility to do the last MXGP races in the MX2 World Championship”, Hsu told GateDrop.com. 

“I was focused on Supercross but with the COVID pandemic and it’s regulations I could not achieve my goals the last season. I hardly had time to prepare myself for outdoor racing as I was riding more SX and also changed the bike brand and had actually only 4 weeks to ride the new bike. I will race a standard KTM but nevertheless, I feel comfortable on the bike simply as I have the right set up with the right people. I will do racing to my best as I always do”, added Hsu. 

Hsu also revealed to us that he will race rounds of the AMA Supercross series in 2022 but it remains to be seen just how many. 

“I will go there (to USA) with my own sponsors from Italy. We will try to do what is possible but we don’t know yet”, Hsu concluded.
