Steve Matthes has reported that Julien Beaumer who came second in the 250 class outdoors and is in contention for the 250 SMX title, looks to be the man to replace the injured Chance Hymas on the 450 for team USA alongside Cooper Webb and Levi Kitchen – if they all survive tonight’s SMX finale!
Matthes said: “Ok new update on mxdn, I thought it would be Jordon but now I think it will JuJu on the 450.”
With Beaumer’s dad being French, it is beyond fitting he gets to represent the USA in his father’s homeland!
And props also to Jordon Smith and Triumph who were clearly up for the challenge and willing to go if required for the USA, with Jordon replying: “Very bummed. We were ready to go”
With team USA always seemingly having a rider or two injured at the final SMX round, Jordon might just still be required by his country!
