Aaron Plessinger – I think it’s going to be a good year!

A very confident but very off the radar, Aaron Plessinger, believes he will surprise a lot of people in 2021 now that he is back on Star Racing Yamaha and finally comfortable on the 450!

Talking about the marked difference in 450 Star Racing Yamaha machine compared to the last two years with the in-house Yamaha factory team, Plessinger said: “I’d say it’s pretty different. I think it’s amazing, the Star Racing team has done an unreal job with the bike, they have really turned it around. They have got me to where I felt like I left off in 2018, which is really exciting for me. I am looking forward to getting to Houston and really showing people what should have happened two years ago. Really pumped to get there, exited to get on the gate and race these guys.

With regards to the size of Star Racing Yamaha squad Plessinger feels it will work to their advantage with race intensity. “I would say it’s pretty awesome having a team this big. it plays to our advantage getting to pretty much race every day when you go to the practice track, it’s not just one guy or two guys it’s everybody battling everybody and i think that will play to our advantage coming into the season, I don’t think anybody will be surprised by the pace of the races.

“I think it’s going to be a good year,” assessed the former 250 supercross and motocross champion. “I would say I am on almost a completely different bike, the Star guys have really made this bike feel home for me. The last couple of years have been rough, I think this year I will wake a lot of people up, I’m pretty confident coming in, I think I am going to do really, really good this year.”
