The Canadian Federation has unveiled its team for the 2026 Motocross of Nations, which will take place in Ernée next October. Canada will field Dylan Wright in the Open class, Sebastien Racine in MXGP, and Dylan Rempel in MX2.
After being selected for the first time last year, Sebastien Racine will return to the national team for his second MXoN appearance. Third in the 250cc category of the 2025 Triple Crown Series, the Canadian rider made his Motocross of Nations debut last year at Ironman. However, Canada failed to make it through the B Final and secure qualification for Sunday’s races.
Since then, Sebastien Racine has moved up to the 450cc class. Currently fourth in the Canadian Championship heading into the final round of the season, he will this time compete aboard a 450 KX-F in the MXGP class as he looks to carry Canada as far as possible in Ernée.
Alongside him, Canada will have a proven contender and a rookie. A four-time Canadian champion in the premier class, Dylan Wright will compete in the Open class. Currently leading the Canadian Championship ahead of Harri Kullas, the GDR Honda rider will contest his fifth Motocross of Nations after missing the 2025 edition due to injury.
The third spot goes to Dylan Rempel. Leading the Canadian 250cc Championship by three points over Ryder Malinoski heading into the season finale, the GDR Honda rider is set to make his MXoN debut. He will represent Canada in MX2 for his first appearance on the international stage.
Since 1985, Canada has competed in just 24 editions of the Motocross of Nations. Its best result came in 2004 at Lierop, where Jean-Sébastien Roy, Dusty Klatt and Morgan Blair secured eighth place. Since then, the Canadian team has recorded three 10th-place finishes, in 2007, 2016 and 2018, with the latter marking its most recent appearance inside the top 10.
At Ernée, the Racine-Wright-Rempel trio will therefore aim to return Canada to the upper reaches of the standings, as the nation looks to re-establish itself among the countries capable of challenging for the top positions.
