Evan Ferry injured

Tim Ferry’s son, Evan, has unfortunately been sidelined with an ACL injury just when it looked like he was really turning his career around with some impressive speed over the last few weeks.

The Phoenix Honda team posted: “Due to a crash during timed qualifying in Nashville, Phoenix Racing Honda’s Evan Ferry will miss the remaining rounds of Supercross, along with an undetermined portion of the Pro Motocross series. 📝 While scans performed at the track and at a local hospital Saturday evening in Nashville were inconclusive, further evaluation on Monday revealed damage to Ferry’s right ACL that will require surgical repair. The exact recovery timeline won’t be determined until after surgery, which is being performed today, on April 16th. However, both the team and Evan remain hopeful for a return at some point during the Pro Motocross series, or in time for the SuperMotocross Playoffs.

Evan Ferry said:“Regretfully, my Supercross season has come to an end sooner than planned. While the crash itself wasn’t anything major, I caught my leg the wrong way while dismounting in the sand, and that was all it took. It’s been a tough road over the past few years, but being able to string together a series of races, build my results, and prove that with the right preparation and opportunity, I can run inside the top ten and show my speed to the fans makes it easier to stay motivated. I’ll be working hard through this recovery and look forward to seeing everyone back at the races soon and coming out swinging again.”
