Eli Tomac took his eighth Daytona win after passing Cooper Webb, Hunter Lawrence and then race leader, Ken Roczen, in another brilliant display at his favourite venue.
But Hunter Lawrence kept Tomac in sight and even posted his best lap on the final lap, keeping Tomac honest until the chequered flag as Ken Roczen took third with Cooper Webb fourth.

Hunter Lawrence still leads the championship by just 1 point over Tomac, with Roczen and Webb tied for third, 20 points back.

Seth Hammaker overcame his big Q2 qualifying crash and led from start to finish in the main event in an impressive ride with Cole Davies coming back from a mid-pack start to second.
Last weeks winner, Pierce Brown, took a solid third after Jo Shimoda crashed out of second with a couple of laps to go trying to hold off Davies, the Japanese rider got up to finish fourth.
Pierce Brown leads the championship by two points over Shimoda with Hammaker five back Davies just six back despite coming through the field in both main events so far.
