UDDEVALLA (Sweden) 15 August 2025 – The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championships heads back to Scandinavia this weekend for the MXGP of Sweden from the rocky slopes of the Glimminge Motorstadion near Uddevalla, a classic venue that has held World Championship Motocross events since the 1950s and always inspires an incredible atmosphere from some of the most passionate fans on the planet!
The gap at the top of the MXGP World Championship is now just nine points, with French veteran Romain Febvre still leading as they start the final quarter of the season, but teenage Belgian Lucas Coenen has won the last three Grands Prix and was dominant at this track in MX2 last year, so it could be down to the wire between the leading pair in Sweden!
This weekend will see the early Championship leader Tim Gajser return from injury to see if he can get amongst the front runners, while home hero Isak Gifting raised the roof at Uddevalla by leading last year, and is looking to repeat the feat in 2025!
The MX2 class is still close between three Championship contenders, but reigning Champion Kay de Wolf is now up to second in the points chase behind leader Simon Längenfelder, although the Dutchman has yet to climb the podium at Uddevalla, while his two rivals, including Italian former Champ Andrea Adamo, both have good records here!
