Eli Tomac says he is FINALLY getting on a bike for the first time since his thumb injury (crash below) but still hopes to be racing at Budds Creek in a month’s time!

Update: Finally back on the motorcycle tomorrow! I’ve been out on my MTB a few times trying to build confidence and strength back in my thumb. It’s been a long recovery, but is now starting to make real progress with the pins removed. When will I be back? That’s still TBD, but I’m sure after a few rides I’ll know a realistic timeframe. Hoping for around Budds Creek.🤞💪”
It means Tomac would be racing the last two Nationals and the three SMX races – enough time for an MXoN appearance?
His teammate Cooper Webb is planning to be racing at Unadilla with Ken Roczen also teasing a potential comeback there. Three of the biggest names in the sport look ready to get back behind the gate sooner rather than later.
