Steve Matthes has sourced a team USA MXoN update with Plessinger in and maybe Barcia on a 250f as USA’s new star boy, Haiden Deegan, apparantly doesn’t want to go! This is surprising news given Deegan’s recent USA patriotic comments during the outdoor season about a US guy needing to win in the Nationals against Aussie Lawrence, but when it comes to racing outside the USA against fellow teen stars like Belgium’s even younger star, 16 year old GP winner, Lucas Coenen and 18 year old’s de Wolf and Adamo, Deegan doesn’t seem as keen!
If true, it’s a real shame for the event as Haiden is the real deal and America’s brightest talent for a while with brimming confidence, aggression and a burning desire to win. Seeing some of the best teenagers in the world in the 250 class at Ernee doing battle for their country would have been awesome for every motocross fan, and glimpse into the next decade.
And, for team USA, it’s a huge loss as he could have been the key to the chances of a US win against Australia, Netherlands and France on that fire breathing Star Yamaha just like Cooper was last year with some great starts and speed. Hopefully he still goes!
