What a talent Rene Hofer was! Dominating the youth classes and then being able to race the MX2 World Championship with Factory KTM. It was the perfect story with the Austrian being able to ride with the Austrian brand. He had won his first MX2 GP overall and the future was looking amazing for him before he tragically lost his life after getting caught in an avalanche.
