Video: Prado’s options for 2025 – wide open?

After his extremely impressive showing in AMA supercross, the world is Jorge Prado’s oyster in 2025. Prado’s Gas Gas contract is up at the end of this year and he is free to go anywhere MXGP or AMA, and ride for anyone in 2025.

Prado is still only 23 and could still have 10 more years in the game, but this next move could definitely define the rest of his career. It could be now or never for America and, right now, it looks like that’s where he will end up.

The KTM group letting Jorge race the opening four supercross races will also alert the rest of the manufacturers in the USA.

And that ironically could make it harder and more costly for KTM to even keep Prado if he makes the jump to the States, now that they all have seen how skilled and adaptable Prado is indoors.

One thing is for sure, Prado will be a huge coup for anyone that can get him from a race results and marketing standpoint. He, like Jett Lawrence, is a generational talent and brings international eyes to America, especially with lice broadcasting now in Spanish!

So will Prado stay in MXGP and change manufacturer, stay on a Gas Gas/Husky/KTM regardless of series or end up somewhere like Kawasaki in the States if AC doesn’t sign a new deal?
