Video: New Zealand’s next superstar shines under the Anaheim lights!

It was the best race of the night at Anaheim, and it was the night 16 year old New Zealand rider Cole Davies announced himself to the world by winning the Future’s race in a brilliant, bar-banging battle with 19 year old American, Gavin Towers, on the Star Yamaha.

Davies was given a five race shot on factory Gas Gas after impressing last year and the kid who has been helped by former world champ and supercross champ Ben Townley and Former GP winner, Josh Coppins, took his chance and now looks ready to follow in their footsteps at the elite level.

It looks like Davies focus is America but it would be nice to see him race some EMX250 or even MX2 GPs in his development – and give Courtney Duncan some company while in Europe!

Wherever he races, Davies looks to have a very bright future – remember the name!
