Two legends of the sport went at it for the win in a pivotal final moto last weekend at Ernee as six time FIM World champ Jeffrey Herlings went head-to-head with four time FIM World champion and recently crowned SMX world champ, Jorge Prado. It was Herlings that came out on top after a stunning ride to come from on the deck and pass most of the top ten before reeling in the brilliant Prado and making the pass to take the win.
It put in the eyes of many that Herlings is once again the fastest man on the planet with Herlings saying: “The second moto I wanted it so bad, I even crashed because normally I have it under control but I wanted to pass Liam too quick then yard sale’d myself and went all the way back to around eighth or tenth. I thought, ‘this is going to be difficult,’ but I kept my head down and kept charging all the way back to the lead.”

Afterwards Herlings and Prado spoke about their passion for the event and why they race it for free:
