Kay de Wolf has revealed he won’t be racing the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross this weekend. At the opening round of the Dutch Masters, de Wolf was riding with a thumb injury but actually hurt his good thumb at that event.
The Nestaan Husqvarna rider went for an update and it’s been revealed that he has ruptured the ligaments in the thumb. As a result, de Wolf has confirmed he will sit out round two of the Dutch Masters but should be back for round three. One thing that is certain he that he’ll be back for the next MXGP round which heads to France.
De Wolf provided the following update:
“Hi everyone, it’s Kay de Wof here and unfortunately I have to tell you that I won’t be showing up at the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Harfsen this weekend. I have a little injury on my thumb, not the one I had surgery on, but I’ll tell you guys quickly what happened”.
“So at round one of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Heerde, I overjumped in the second lap of the first moto, I overjumped, I jumped and then still had a decent first moto and had a great battle with Jeffrey. I had a decent second moto, kept training, kept racing and then this week we went for a check-up at the doctor to see if there was nothing wrong and ended up having a little rupture in my thumb, in my ligaments, so I will have to sit out for this Dutch Masters. Normally I should be back for round three, but for sure the GPs won’t be in any danger”.
