What initially appeared to be a minor fall quickly turned serious when his bike landed on him, resulting in significant trauma including fractured vertebrae and ribs. He was immediately airlifted to a hospital in Pavia, where he underwent a delicate surgical procedure.

The positive news came when the Italian rider woke up after a critical period fighting for his life, but updates on his condition had been few and far between—until now.

Tropepe has posted a brave message on social media, revealing that he has lost feeling in his legs. Despite the grim prognosis from doctors, he remains determined to fight, stating he’s focused on the present and will keep pushing in his recovery journey.

Hi everyone, it’s been a few months now since my crash. A lot of people have been messaging me to ask how I’m doing, but many times I don’t reply — I’m sorry, but the situation isn’t the best, it’s not out of spite.

I felt it was right, though, to write a few lines for all the people who care about me.

At the moment, I’ve lost feeling in my legs. The doctors are pessimistic about the situation, and no one really knows what might happen in the future. For now, I’m focusing on the present.

It’s tough, but I’ve never given up… and even if the doctors are negative, I’ll keep trying until the end! And if worst comes to worst, I’ll just pop a couple of wheelies in a wheelchair.
