Ty Masterpool ruled out for A1

The HBI Kawasaki racing team have sadly announced that Ty Masterpool, who was expected to make his 450cc debut this weekend at Anaheim 1, has sadly been ruled out of the opening round.

It’s not yet clear how long Masterpool will be out of action for but he definitely won’t contest round one this weekend so his 450cc debut will have to wait.

His ankle still hasn’t healed 100% but hopefully he won’t have long to wait before returning to racing.

The HBI Kawasaki team posted the following statement on social media:

“Ty Masterpool went into surgery at the completion of last year’s SuperMotocross championship for an appendectomy after suffering appendicitis at the Ironman Outdoor National. During the same period he took the time to fix a plaguing ankle problem”.

“Unfortunately, the ankle rehab will not be completed by Al and a team decision has been made to delay Ty’s debut in the 450 Supercross class at the advice of his doctors and trainers. The appendicitis has fully healed and doctors feel his ankles will be 100% in the next few weeks”.
