Team USA confirm they’ll send MXoN team to Mantova

The Motocross Des Nations is scheduled to take place at Mantova on the 25th and 26th of September and the good news is that it looks like America will send a team.

The event was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 but it looks like the event is all systems go this year. Mike Pelletier, Director of Racing for the AMA, confirmed America are planning on sending a team and that feedback in the pits is strong with manufactures and riders interested in taking part.

The likes of Adam Cianciarulo, Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton, Aaron Plessinger, Justin Cooper and RJ Hampshire to name a few will all be knocking on the door for selection in what will be a strong team.

With the event taking place during the MXGP season it will be interesting what the format will be as before they were forced to cancel the event last year the plan was to give GP points and have additional wild cards for GP riders not selected by their federations – they may have to do the same this year to get all the GP riders to contest.
