Race One: It was Michael Hicks who held the early lead and was looking good but with two laps to go Shane McElrath made a move and Max Anstie followed him through. The Brit then made a move to remain unbeaten.
Race Two: The second moto was more straight forward for Anstie as he led after the first turn and controlled things at the front of the field. Lopes who crashed in the first race, responded well to finish second with Hicks solid for third. McElrath didn’t get a good start and won’t be happy with sixth.
Final: It looked like Anstie had another good start but then he got caught around the first corner and came out in fourth. Lopes meanwhile was riding great at the front and pulled away at the front of the field. Anstie was in third behind McElrath and decided to settle for third in what was a gnarly track.
McElrath was right on Lopes on the final lap but the Brazilian brought home the race win. Despite not winning the last race of the night, Anstie still took the overall win.
