Jalek Swoll’s Achilles injury has forced Austin Forkner back to racing East meaning no Forkner v Deegan battle to start A1. Triumph see Forkner as the guy who could still get them a title in the East with Jordon Smith the main hope for West with Stilez Robertson the late call up to West replacing Forkner.
Swoll explained he hadn’t even crashed and the injury happened doing a jump he had done a thousand times! The heartbroken Swoll said:
“In shock at the moment, I had such a good off season and finally all the hard work was starting to show, speed, fitness, and mental were all aligned and I was ready to win this year and I feel everyone on the team could see that day in and day out…“
“Unfortunately it’s just not my time to show what I’m capable of… this is the only video I could get out without tearing up so this will do, thank you to my team and everyone who’s on my side through this tough time, I feel I unlocked some new speed and I’m looking forward to getting back to where I’m leaving off from now… Crazy thing is it wasn’t even a crash just a routine day jumping a jump I’ve done 1000x.””
