Shane McElrath looking for a ride

Shane McElrath has said his goodbyes to the MCR Honda team and is looking for a ride after a very disappointing injury-hit rookie 450 season. The MCR team are heavily rumoured to be going to Arenacross next year – you can learn more about that in the video below:

McElrath, the 450 rookie who only got a couple of races in supercross due to injury, said: “I want to say a big thank you to the @smartopspacover @bullfrog_spas @honda_powersports_us team and Mike Genova and @talessi800801 on giving me an opportunity as a rookie in the 450 class. Also got to work with a great mechanic @aaronmrozek. I only got to line up for 3 races after dealing with two different injuries which is pretty disappointing for myself and the team. Mike and Tony continued to give me the very best opportunity regardless of what we were facing and I’m thankful to have gotten to know them both and learn so much from them! Thanks to all the other team supporters because you guys make it all worth it, until next time guys.’

It remains to be seen where McElreath will now end up but he should be a good signing for someone if he can stay injury free and find the form that saw him at the sharp end in both supercross and motocross on the 250.
