Chase Sexton has contradicted team manager, Ian Harrison’s prediction that the Red Bull KTM star would be returning to race action at Southwick.
Sexton, who has no specific injury, at least according the press release, but is banged up, took to X to reply to Lewis Phillips who said Ian had told him he was expecting Sexton to race at Southwick. Sexton replied, “that’s incorrect.”

It means no official timeline for his return , although Ryan Villopoto had heard Sexton would be back for RedBud amidst a general acceptance in the industry that Sexton is indeed off the Kawasaki, something that KTM are probably not thrilled about given the level Sexton was at in supercross.
Cooper Webb’s relationship deteriorated at the end of tenure ay KTM and he was told to stay at home… let’s see when Sexton returns, especially with MXON on home soil, surely Sexton will want to be back for some outdoors to figure in the options for team USA? Let’s hope RedBud is indeed the date Sexton has in mind, missing the MXoN two years in a row for someone of Sexton’s talent level would be a shame.
Adding to the intrigue is Jorge Prado saying the Kawasaki isn’t fast enough and he wants more power… will Sexton be making similar demands in 2026?
