SC Sporthomes Husqvarna to contest the first three rounds of the AMA Nationals

British based team, SC Sporthomes Husqvarna spent a large part of the off-season in America before returning to the UK to contest the opening rounds of the British Championship and MX National UK series.

The team are now back in America and are preparing to race the first three rounds of the AMA Nationals taking place at Pala, Hangtown and Thunder Valley. The opening round of the series at Pala takes place this weekend.

Josh Gilbert who has MXGP experience will race the 450cc class with Florian Miot who has plenty of EMX experience racing the 250cc class. Also making the trip is Charlie Putnam who will race the MX1 class alongside Gilbert.

The plan was also for Evgeny Bobryshev to race but unfortunately the Russian has been banned due to what is happening in the world at the moment. It is hoped that the situation can change in the near future so he can race competitvely again.

“We made the plan with our riders Gilbert, Bobryshev, Miot and Putnam to do something different for this year. We came out at the start of the year to Florida and set the bikes up and trained for six weeks to be ready to come and have a go at the AMA Nationals. The plan is to start the first three rounds of the series and we will see how it goes”, Neil Prince, the team manager of the SC Sporthomes Husqvarna told GateDrop.com.
