Rumour: Camden Mc Lellan to land MX2 factory Triumph ride in 2024?

At the RedBud MXoN which took place last September, Ricky Carmichael broke the news that Triumph would be entering the Motocross world in 2024 by running an MX2 World Championship team.

Thierry Chizat-Suzzoni, the owner and driving force behind the MX ESCA team who had ran the Factory Kawasaki effort for a number of years has been out of the paddock since the end of the 2021 season but will be back to run the Triumph factory effort in 2024 – it is great to see a new brand enter the MX world.

We believe that young South African talent, Camden Mc Lellan will be under the new factory awning in 2024 to race the new bike. This year is Mc Lellan’s rookie MX2 GP season after signing with the JM Honda team and despite missing the start of the season through injury made his return in France and has been putting in some good results as a rookie.

Another rider that has been linked to Triumph is the talented Mikkel Haarup so if that deal also materializes, it will be a strong rider line up for the new brand in their first year of racing.

In other good news, according to Steve Matthes, we are expected to see the first images of the new bike in early September!
