Ken Roczen won superpole and the first moto but a crashed while running second in race two was followed by two second places in the third AX1 moto and the superficial for second overall and the defending champ admitted he isn’t as good as Eli Tomac in this moment.

Roczen said: “Tough night on the race track for Rd1 of @fimwsx The track was really rutty and super rocky which is a crazy combination in SX. 💀 Was able to click of P1 for Super Pole Race 1: after battling in the first couple of laps, i was able to move to P1 and finished there as well. Race 2: rough first turn on the start so i was way back. I made my way into second and high sided over some rocks on a take off and threw it away. I ended up 10th or so i believe. Race 3: P2 Super Final P2 I am not as good as Eli right now but it’s a great opportunity for me to learn and improve myself over the next few weeks. I am excited to put in some work with the team and personally as well to be a step further coming into Perth.”
