We all saw videos of Suzuki testing the electric start last season but in 2025, so far at least, Ken Roczen and his teammates have still been kick-starting his Suzuki on his way to the red plate at the highest level of the sport.
We asked Ken in San Diego why there was no electric start and he told us:
“Yeah, it was tested, it broke and we have not revisited it yet, or it’s not been ready yet to throw it back on.”
So, there you have it, it’s still wait and see if Suzuki can get things ready and reliable enough to put the electric start on the Suzuki – but at least he does have factory transmission this season!
