Results: Ulster Championship RD5 – Seaforde

Attentions turned to Seaforde for the traditional racing on the 13th of July and two riders were on a level of their own in the expert class. The smooth and efficient, Jason Meara on his 350cc GasGas was superb taking a clean sweep of victories, it’s nice to see him possibly riding the best he has so far in his career now looking a cut above the rest whilst competing at home. In MX2, it was all about James Mackrel on his Yamaha as he won all three MX2 moto’s finishing all three moto’s in second on his 250cc machine.

The experienced Richard Bird finished second overall in the MX1 class ahead of Jay McCrum and local man Nathan Green. Tommy Merton finished runner up in the MX2 class ahead of Fin Wilson and Ryan Adair.

In the MX2 Semi-Experts class, it was Scottish visitor, Myles Reid who took the overall win ahead of Jack Meara with Sean Laverty winning the MX1 class.
