Dylan Ferrandis took the fastest time in Q1 at Anaheim three, the Frenchman looking to rebound from a tough night at Glendale.
Ferrandis said he needs to get a better start and said he has been practicing starts again this week despite not feeling great after his crash in the last moto at Glendale
Jason Anderson took srcond4 at the end of the session after recovering from a crash early on in sand that then collected Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb.
Eli Tomac was once again on the pace in third but Webb was back in tenth with Roczen 12th.
Roger DeCoster said of a less that stellar start to the year for his riders: “It’s pretty obvious we have been struggling bit I hope for a better result today. I would be happy if we got on the box today. Everybody is working their butt off to turn things around.”
Christian Craig was fastest again the 250 class.
