Young Aussie talent, Regan Duffy has been through a lot recently after his near death experience but even though the doctors didn’t give him much chance he’s been putting plenty of laps in recently.
Duffy was working hard and was about to announce he was going to race the last rounds of the Aussie MX Nationals but has unfortunately broken the Scaphoid in his wrist which will put him out of action for a while.
“Every set back is another chance for a comeback! This is me for the next 6ish weeks. I’ve been keeping to myself lately, training hard and trying my best to not cut any corners but unfortunately shit happens! I was planning to wait and let everyone know that I was going to do the last 3-4 rounds of the Aussie Pro MX championship. I had been getting stronger and stronger and the speed was nearly back!
A mistake cost me and I’ve broken my Scaphoid in my wrist. I got surgery last week from my surgeon Greg Hoys. Everything went well and I’ve gotten two pins put in to help. Now for a bit of actual resting I think, I probably need it (laughs), thanks all”, Duffy stated on social media.Â
