Race One: It was Andrea Adamo who nailed the start in the first moto with Simon Längenfelder right there in second but then things went wrong for the German as he went off the track which dropped him down to around tenth.

Meanwhile, Kay de Wolf was loving the conditions and it didn’t take him too long to get himself into the lead and dominate proceedings. Adamo meanwhile will be happy with second in brutal conditions – he did have some late race pressure from Benistant who rode well himself but had to be content with third.

Camden McLellan was sitting fourth trying to catch Benistant before he had a crash. He picked it up ahead of Coenen but the young Belgian could pass him for fourth.

Längenfelder ended up a disappointing sixth as he didn’t look all that comfortable – he’ll be looking to improve in race two.

Race Two: It was Coenen who got a better start in the second race and he was looking comfortable at the front. De Wolf didn’t get the best of starts and then took a while to get passed Benistant but once he did and got a clear track it didn’t take him long to pass Coenen and bring home the win.

Adamo didn’t get the best of starts either but was able to catch Benistant and pass him to finish the race in third which was enough for second overall.

Längenfelder didn’t look his usual self and could only finish fifth but he still has the red plate and a healthy championship lead. He has 43 points over Adamo with de Wolf five points further back – he gained a lot of points this weekend to get himself back into championship contention.
