Thibault Beinstant got a gift on the final lap of the MX2 qualifying race as Sacha Coenen was having probably the best ride of his career. We have seen the small Belgian show great sprint speed before but this time he kept it up for the whole moto and had a three seconds gap on the final lap. But he blew the win on the last lap crashing out of the lead.

Benistant who rode well himself ended up with the win with Lucas Coenen passing his brother for second!  Ferruccio Zanchi rode great on his return for a strong fourth position with Simon Langenfelder finishing fifth after breaking his collarbone six days ago.

Kay de Wolf was outside the top thirty but made lots of passes to climb all the way up to seventh.

Liam Everts, Andrea Adamo and Mikkel Haarup were all in the top ten at the beginning of the moto but all collided together which meant they had to come up through the field. Neither of them got back to point scoring positions.
