A qualifying round of the EMX65 and EMX85 championships is taking place at Kaplice in Czech Republic this weekend as the next generation battle to qualify for the finals that will take place at the MXGP of Riola.
In the EMX85 class it was female sensation, Lotte Van Drunen who won the qualifying race and she did it in style. Norwegian, Pelle Gundersen came home in second ahead of a trio of Dutch talents.
Irish talent, Cole McCullough got his first experience racing Internationally and despite a bad start buried outside the top twenty twenty on the opening lap, he battled hard and made lots of passes to come home in an impressive eighth. He’ll be hoping for better starts and two strong moto’s during the main races tomorrow.
In the EMX65 class it was the talented, Dex Van Den Broek who took the victory with a comfortable gap over Viktor Leppala and Stanislav Pojar.
