Official: Shane McElrath signs with Madd Parts Kawasaki


Shane McElrath has spent the season with the H.E.P Motorsports Suzuki team but with the season coming close to the end, the American is on the move after having his contract terminated.

The Madd Parts Kawasaki team have stepped in to sign up McElrath for the rest of the season with three AMA Nationals remaining. He will also contest the SMX playoffs with his new team.

McElrath will join Freddie Noren under the awning in what is a strong line up for the team.

The team posted the following statement confirming the signing on social media:

We’re excited for the opportunity to sign Shane for the remainder of the 2024 SuperMotocross series. Shane will join Freddie Noren to form the strongest line-up in the team’s history! The team is working diligently to get Shane acclimated to the bike and the #12 will be on the line for Unadilla.

Shane joins the team with an impressive 9-career 250SX Supercross wins, three runner-up 250SX Championships, an FIM World Supercross Championship @fimwsx (2022), and a near podium finish in Round 2 of the 2024 Supercross in San Francisco (4th)”.
