2024 was a tough year for Mike Gwerder as he missed the full season due to injury but he recently got back on the bike as he prepares for his return to racing. It has now been confirmed that Gwerder will remain with the HTS KTM team for the 2025 season.

The main focus will be on the ADAC Youngsters Cup series as well as the Swiss Championships.

The Swiss talent will contest selected MX2 World Championship events. It remains to be seen what rounds that Gwerder will contest but his home GP in Frauenfeld, Switzerland will definitely be a round he competes at.

Fingers crossed that Gwerder can remain injury free and continue to progress to show his true level after a full season out injured.

It won’t be easy but one goal Gwerder has is to do enough to get selected for the Swiss MXoN team at the end of the season as the event heads to Ironman, USA in 2025.

“I’m really happy to get a second chance with HTS! After a year with no riding, I didn’t expect to get such a great deal. I will compete in the ADAC and Swiss championships, as well as selected MX2 GP’s”, Gwerder told GateDrop.com.

“While I’m keeping my expectations realistic, I’m fully focused on giving my best every time I’m on the track. My priority is to have a healthy season and enjoy racing my dirt bike, but I’m also determined to push myself and achieve strong results. We will see where I end up, but I’m motivated and excited to give it my all! One big goal for me is to perform well enough to earn a spot at the MXoN event in the USA”, concluded Gwerder.
