August Frisk has officially confirmed his direction for the 2026 season, committing to another year running his own programme while continuing to receive support from KTM as well as his trusted Kullen 1502 setup. It’s a structure that has worked well for the young Swede and despite his injury setback this year, he’s confident that the continuity will allow him to make the progress he knows he’s capable of.

This past season, Frisk underlined his potential in the highly competitive EMX250 championship. Although the year didn’t go entirely to plan, he delivered one of the standout performances of the series at the Swiss round, where he dominated with a flawless 1-1 scorecard. It was a ride that caught the attention of many in the paddock and showed he could have a bright future. Unfortunately, an injury soon after halted his season and left him unable to build on that momentum.

For 2026, the target is clear: stay healthy, avoid the misfortune that derailed this season, and consistently fight at the front of the EMX250 pack. With a familiar bike beneath him, a committed team around him, and a strong training base in France, Frisk believes the platform is there to deliver his best season yet.

Alongside the EMX250 campaign, there’s also the expectation that he’ll make selected wildcard appearances in the MX2 World Championship. Those outings will serve as valuable benchmarks as he aims to close the gap to the GP regulars and continue progressing toward a full-time move to the world stage in the future.

Speaking about the decision, Frisk told GateDrop.com he feels confident with the direction of his programme heading into the new season.

“I’m happy to continue working with KTM official and staying on the orange bike next year. I will keep doing my own thing with our own team Kullen 1502, we have a great set up and great people working around. My base will still be in France at Steven Frossard’s place and we will continue working together. I feel confident in the people around me and with our plan and work ethic I believe we can achieve our goals for next season”, Frisk told GateDrop.com.
