Young Swedish rider, Arvid Luning has been on the look out for an MXGP World Championship ride for the 2025 season after aging out of MX2 GP’s at the end of the season due to the U23 age rule.
The MX-Handel Husqvarna who are stepping up to contest the MXGP World Championship in 2025 have decided to snap up Luning for the 2025 season. The move will see him race all the MXGP events that take place in Europe.
The team have already confirmed Kevin Brumann for the 2025 season so Luning will join him under the awning in 2025.
This year Luning was with the Young Motion Powered by Resa team but only contested selected MX2 GP events. He’ll be happy to race all the European rounds of the MXGP World Championship in 2025 in what will be a big opportunity.
Arvid Luning:
“Well first of I’m very happy to sign with MX-Handel Husqvarna to ride all the European GP’s. It’s not very easy to find a ride and especially in the MXGP class so I’m happy to find a solution to continue racing the GP’s! It’s of course a big step to the MXGP class but I’m looking forward to the challenge and competing on the 450cc”, Luning told GateDrop.com.Â
