Official: Alve Callemo set for MX2 GP opportunity with Young Motion powered by Resa

Dutch MX2 GP team Young Motion powered by Resa has confirmed Swedish rider Alve Callemo will join its MX2 line-up for the Grand Prix of France and Germany.

The 17-year-old has impressed in his debut EMX250 season and now steps up to make his MX2 Grand Prix debut with the team as a fill-in rider, following injuries within the squad.

Sandro Sools and Martin Michelis have both been sidelined, with Alessandro Gaspari carrying the team alone at the opening round. Callemo’s arrival, combined with Sools’ return, means the team is set to field three riders in France. Michelis continues his recovery.

“We are happy to support Alve as he makes his MX2 GP debut. He fits the profile of the riders we look to support: young and fast riders coming up from the 125cc class. Sools and Gaspari already have experience on the 250, but Alve has impressed quickly in EMX250 after only a short time on the bike. It is still early, but we believe this experience will be valuable for his development.”

“I am really looking forward to my MX2 GP debut. We were in contact with the team during the winter, but decided to first gain experience in EMX250 after moving up from the 125cc class at just 16. The season has gone well, and when the opportunity came up, we discussed it with my family and manager Tim Edberg. It feels like a great step to gain MX2 experience early.”
