The 2026 MXGP FIM Motocross World Championships holds it 13th round this weekend, and luckily for us we are at one of the most beautiful venues in the calendar as the gothic town of Loket hosts the MXGP of Czech Republic, with both Championships finely balanced at the top!
Lucas Coenen still leads the MXGP World Championships, but Jeffrey Herlings cut into his lead at the last round due to a crash in Qualifying that led to the Belgian being unable to score points all weekend! The gap in both MXGP and MX2 is 11 points, as Guillem Farres takes over the red plate for the factory Triumph team due to his perfect run at the last three GPs, so Sacha Coenen has a fight on his hands as he races through the pain from a collarbone injury!
As is now tradition at the Czech GP, the EMX85 and EMX65 European Motocross Championships have their final round for the young riders who have fought their way here through several qualifying races this summer. The EMX2t European Motocross Championship also has its single round here for fans of two-stroke machines!
